SRC Care Package Initiative

We would like to propose that each student from each year group provides one item to be included in a Christmas care package to be sent to one of the Australian Troops whom are currently serving in the Middle East. This initiative provides the students at YAHS to help someone who may not be as lucky as ourselves to spend Christmas with family and friends.
We would like the students to bring one item back with them after Desi, Year 10 after they fi...nish work experience.
The following is some general items as to what can be included in a care package.
Students might like to include:
Toiletries
· Deodorant (non aerosol)
· Shaving cream (non aerosol)
· Small bottle of talcum powder
· Disposable razors
· Shower gel
· Lip balm
Food
· Instant noodles
· Biscuits
· Lollies
· Small tinned consumables
· Non-perishable foods
Other Items
· Magazines – ranging from Vogue to Men's Health
· Puzzle books
· DVD's
· Socks
· Letters of support
· Stamped, self addressed envelopes – soldiers can thank you for the donation
We know the recipients will be most appreciative of these packages and these servicemen and woman are very deserving of our support.
