At Yanco Agricultural High School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Respect, Attitude and Teamwork (RAT) program

Provides focused, relationship-based support for students who benefit from extra help with literacy and life skills.

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking.

Girls Connect program

A program that strives to empower all girls by providing them with the foundational skills to build their confidence and achieve an interest in self and peer care.

Showstock teams

Join the Showstock team and learn to prepare, parade and present livestock in a competition environment.

Equestrian team

A fun friendly supportive team environment that helps develop riding and horse management skills.

After hours activities

Boarding students are kept busy with a wide variety of activities.

Book week

Students and staff enjoy dressing up and celebrating the joy of books and storytelling.

Keep Fit

Sporting fields, courts, a pool and gym help students stay active and fit.

Extracurricular activities

Yanco Agricultural High School employs a full time Recreational Coordinator who organises afternoon and weekend activities. This includes trips away for activities such as movies, fishing, visit to local sites and activities.

Outside of school hours and on weekends, students are kept occupied with a variety of activities, including utilising the school’s sporting and agriculture facilities.

They can attend training, go swimming, go shopping, play golf, tennis, football (AFL, League, Union, Soccer), cricket, basketball, play pool/snooker, little athletics, netball, air cadets, army cadets, band, drum corps, cattle show stock, sheep show stock, music lessons, dancing, karate or attend the gym.
