Transport
Yanco Agricultural High School is located about 11kms from Leeton CBD.
The school has its own fleet of buses and transports students to & from town as required for educational, sporting or medical purposes. The cost of this transport is covered by the Students Transport Levy.
There are a variety of options available to transport students from home to school, including private and public transport.

Weekly buses
Weekly buses are provided through private Bus Companies departing Friday afternoon and returning Monday morning, the buses are available for permanent weekly boarders and casual travellers.
- Permanent travellers will receive an account from Bus Company.
- Casual travellers either pay the bus company before travelling or pay cash to the driver.
The following bus schedual is provided for families with students who are weekly boarders. To be eligible for the conveyance subsidy, parents should put a ‘W’ in the Boarder (weekly) square on the “School Student Transport Scheme” Form. The distances and all other details need to be filled in as well. Parents will be invoiced by Bus Company for permanent travelers only.
You will be billed for your child’s seat for each week even if they do not travel one week this guarantees their seat on the bus for the Term.
Public transport
Government Subsidies for Boarders on public transport are available to support students travelling to and from home.
- Rail - a number of concessions are available for boarding students through Transport NSW including a Boarder Rail Pass.
- Bus - NSW Transport provide free bus travel for designated leave weekends and school holidays for students who reside in NSW and hold a Boarder Pass. This transport will take students as close to their home destination as possible, with no option for location changes.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers near schools.
When driving and parking at our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in marked spaces
- follow speed signs
- give way to buses and pedestrians
- be alert for stock and wildlife on rural roads
