Prep is held Monday to Thursday between 6.30 and 8.30pm

Is there prep on weekends?

Friday and Sunday prep is more relaxed. There is still opportunity to complete homework and school work.

There is no formal prep on Saturday. Students are notified via message on the dining room board about the available options. Often this can include watching a movie in the recreation room or playing games in the dining room or hall.

Structure of prep

When all students in Years 7 and 8 arrive at Prep they complete 15 minutes reading.

Students then undertake the 'Stay in Touch' process (this is a Study technique where students spend a few minutes touching base with each of their subjects in regard to content and assessments) for all their courses. Students then complete the requirements they have for that evening.

Where is prep?

Students in Years 7 and 8 have prep in an allocated classroom/room where they are supervised by a staff member who can assist them with their work.

Students in Years 9 and 10 have prep in an allocated classroom/room where they are supervised by a staff member who can assist them with their work. Students in Years 9 and 10 can apply to do their prep in their own room provided they are meeting school expectations regarding their academic progress and behaviour.

Students in Years 11 and 12 complete their prep in their own room. During Prep time students undertake individual study in their dorm. If students wish to study in groups, they can organise a venue with the Deputy Principal Residential. In addition, HSC tutorials are provided for senior students in specific course areas from Monday to Thursday.
