Personal Development, Health Physical Education (PDHPE) is a mandatory course that is studied in each of years 7-10 , students are expected to participate in 300 hours of PDHPE, over Years 7 - 10. This is the requirement for eligibility for the award of the Record of School Achievement (ROSA).

Through the study of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education courses, students develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes needed to take action to protect and enhance their own and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing in varied and changing contexts. Physical education is fundamental to the acquisition of movement skills and concepts to enable students to participate in a range of physical activities – confidently, competently, and creatively.

In Year 9 and Year 10, the elective course available include:

●     Physical Activity and Sport Studies

In Year 11 and 12, courses available include:

●     Personal Development, Health, and Physical Education

●     Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation Studies.

PDHPE at Yanco Agricultural High School offers a range of curriculum courses as outlined in various syllabii set by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

PDHPE provides students with the opportunities to develop confidence and enjoyment in learning about personal development, health, wellbeing and physical education, whilst supporting students to be lifelong learners.

Nature of Health, Summer Sports, Support Networks, Power in Relationships, Risky Business, Fitness.

9 PDHPE

Lifelong Physical Activity, Modified Games, Relating with Others, Health Habit Healthy Communities, Coaching, Modified Games

10 PDHPE

Exploring Health Information, Athletics, Swimming, Diverse Relationships, Gymnastics, Dance, Road Safety, Modified Games 2, Moving on.
