Education at our school

Yanco Agricultural High School has a strong and proud tradition of providing a quality education for all students.

There are a wide variety of subjects offered across all year levels and all learning areas at the school. As an agricultural high school, there is a focus on the study of agriculture through Year 7 to Year 10 and agriculture is offered for HSC in Year 11 and Year 12.

In recent years there has also been significant development of a number of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses and subjects which can allow students to receive a nationally recognised qualification, for example, Certificate II in a number of possible fields as well as academic results in those areas.

There are no special religious education and special education in ethics approved providers available at this school.

The selection process begins at the end of Term 2 in Year 10 and parents and students must attend an information session before subjects are chosen.

At times, the courses offered in the school are supplemented by access to distance education units. Selection and availability of subjects can depend on a number of factors and a range of academic and practical subjects are offered across both years. For more information contact the school and request a prospectus.
